About OpenPath Exchange Solutions

Financial institutions need the ability to utilize solutions that will help improve operations and member service. With the use of OpenPath, industry standard .NET web services used with UltraData Enterprise, the easy exchange of data with virtually any application of choice is made possible.

Web services can be used as an industry standard Application Programming Interface (API) set for processing transactions with third party applications. IFX provides a robust and scalable framework for the exchange of financial data and instructions independent of a particular network technology or computing platform. The information sharing potential of IFX has been designed to support communication not only between a credit union and its members, but also between a financial institution and its service providers. This specification supports existing and emerging financial services and is extensible and customizable for future growth. OpenPath web services also function above the business layers to ensure that all transactions flow through the business rules the credit union defines in UltraData Enterprise and that the data remains secure and compliant.

Exchanging data from the application, member and employee perspectives, utilizing these industry standard formats and communication methods, provides a simplified approach to data exchange. This delivery of pre-configured industry standard interfaces can then be modified by institutions or third parties.

Application-Exchange
Application-Exchange is a server-based solution that processes both financial and data transactions just as if the transaction were performed using UltraData Enterprise. It creates industry standard web services to allow processing across any TCP/IP network including the Internet. Using these web services, a third party application can send a transaction request to the server without the need to duplicate the business rules defined within UltraData Enterprise.

Member-Exchange
Member-Exchange enables the interfacing of third party browser-based applications to the ULTRADATA System via Internet Banking. Member-Exchange helps to create a portal for members to access all the products and services over the Internet. Once a solution is interfaced using Member-Exchange, members will have that additional feature with a click of a button, eliminating the need for an additional sign-on. The member experience becomes a truly integrated Internet solution.

Employee-Exchange
Employee-Exchange enables interfacing of third party browser-based applications into UltraData Enterprise’s Financial Services Platform (FSP) using hypertext transfer protocol (HTTP) connectivity. Creating a portal for staff to access all the solutions your credit union currently uses via the Internet, Employee-Exchange pulls data from UltraData Enterprise and the member data in focus is passed to the credit union specified website. Once an application is interfaced, staff will have that additional feature with a click of a button.
